NPQML (National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership) is a national qualification that provides recognition of your leadership development and professional achievement as a middle leader, supporting you to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence that you need to lead a high-performing team in a school and to improve classroom practice.

Worcestershire Global Leadership Academy offers NPQML qualifications for teaching professionals who would like to take the next steps in their career development. 

Our facilitators  are outstanding middle or senior leaders who have undergone training specifically for this purpose.  Materials are delivered in an engaging and interactive manner and we are very keen to develop a cohort identity which allows candidates to support each other’s learning journey.

Who is this qualification for?

In order to secure a place on the qualification candidates must be a middle leader with responsibility for leading a team (e.g. a key stage/subject/curriculum leader, head of department or pastoral leader).

What the course includes

Each module requires blended learning. This typically consists of workplace learning and practice activities, face-to-face activity, including peer and facilitated learning and reading, reflection and online learning.  Qualification requires completion of a two-term 'Leading a Team' improvement project, which will be written up in an assignment and assessed by University of Worcester.  Successful completion will result RPL points which can be put towards a Masters programme.

What is expected?

Face-to-face training - 20 hours, Independent on-line study - 30 hours, work-place study - 30 hours

NPQML costs £850 which includes a 360 diagnostic survey and final assessment.
